Equipment

My camera equipment - is versatile and provides me with the right solution for almost every photographic situation.

At the heart of my setup is the Canon EOS 1300D, a digital SLR camera especially suitable for beginners, but also offering numerous creative possibilities for ambitious hobby photographers. With its 18-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, it delivers detailed and brilliant images, even in challenging lighting conditions. The camera supports both JPEG and RAW formats, giving me maximum flexibility in post-processing. Thanks to built-in Wi-Fi and NFC, I can quickly and easily transfer my photos to my smartphone or share them directly on social networks.

When it comes to choosing the right lens, I am well equipped. The Canon EF-S 18-55mm kit lens is a versatile standard zoom, ideal for everyday and travel photography. It covers a focal length range from wide-angle to short telephoto and features optical image stabilization, ensuring sharp images even at slower shutter speeds. The Super Spectra coating minimizes reflections and stray light, which is especially useful for backlit shots. The bokeh, or background blur, is pleasantly soft for a compact zoom lens.

For portraits and situations where I want to work with shallow depth of field, I use the Yongnuo 50mm prime lens. This fast prime allows me to separate subjects from the background and shoot at low ISO even in low light. The image quality is impressive for the price, and the focal length is perfect for classic portraits as well as street and reportage photography.

When it comes to capturing distant subjects like animals or sports events, I use my Canon EF 75-300mm zoom lens. This super telephoto lets me fill the frame even with shy subjects. The wide focal length range offers maximum flexibility-from nature and wildlife to detailed landscape shots. Especially with an APS-C camera like the Canon EOS 1300D, the crop factor extends the effective focal length, letting me get even closer to the action.

Additionally, I own the Jintu 420-800mm super telephoto lens. This manual super telephoto is excellent for capturing very distant subjects like birds, wildlife, or far-off landscape details. Its enormous focal length range opens up creative possibilities, especially in nature and astrophotography. Due to the high focal length, a sturdy tripod is essential, and manual focusing takes some practice, but rewards with unique shots that standard lenses can't achieve.

For creative lighting and difficult lighting conditions, I have the Yongnuo Digital Speedlite YN680 in my kit. This powerful flash offers numerous settings, including various flash modes and a high guide number, allowing me to light up larger rooms or groups with ease. The flash supports both TTL and manual control, making it flexible for fill flash, bounce flash, or creative lighting effects.

Rounding out my equipment is the iPhone 11, which I always have with me for spontaneous snapshots. The iPhone’s camera is very capable for a smartphone and is especially useful when I don’t have my DSLR at hand. Thanks to its quick readiness and good image quality in daylight, the iPhone 11 is a practical companion on the go.

Altogether, this combination of DSLR, various lenses, flash, and smartphone allows me to respond flexibly to a wide range of photographic challenges. Whether landscape, portrait, wildlife, macro, or street-I have the right tool for every situation. The Canon EOS 1300D impresses with its easy handling, solid image quality, and the creative potential of interchangeable lenses. The addition of the smartphone ensures I never miss special moments in everyday life or while traveling. This way, I am well equipped to realize my photographic ideas and discover new perspectives again and again.

My Studio Equipment

As an enthusiastic hobby photographer, I love experimenting with light, colors, and backgrounds. To work flexibly and creatively, I’ve put together a small but fine studio setup. Here’s a little insight into my equipment:

Background System & Backdrops
With my 2 x 3 meter background frame, I can set up various scenes. I have three different backdrops made of non-woven fabric (each 1.6 x 3 meters) – perfect for creating the right atmosphere for every shoot.

Lighting & Stands
Five sturdy light stands (each 2 meters high) allow me to place my lighting exactly where I need it. Two monolights with flexible 1.8 meter cables provide plenty of power in the studio and can be used in a variety of ways.

Softboxes & Umbrellas
For soft, even lighting, I use three softboxes (50 x 70 cm). Depending on the mood, I also use my three 83 cm umbrellas – white for gentle light, silver/black for more contrast, and gold/black for warm tones.

Lamps & Reflectors
Five 45W bulbs provide the basic lighting. For even more control, I have a 60 cm 5-in-1 reflector, which allows me to direct or diffuse light as needed.
